The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) presided by Vice Gov. Cris Garcia has approved a resolution authorizing Gov. Joet Garcia to grant monthly allowance to agricultural and fishery council chairpersons.

Based on a letter from the Office of the Governor, Provincial Agricultural and Fishery Council (PAFC) chairperson, City/Municipal Agricultural and Fishery Council (C/MAFC) chairpersons and City/Municipal Fishery and Aquatic Resources Management Council (C/MFARMC) chairpersons will be given each monthly allowance of P1,000 effective January 2021.

Both the governor and the SP recognize the efforts and initiatives of the agricultural and fishery council chairpersons as well as their contributions to the agriculture and fisheries sectors in the province. The granting of allowance to chairpersons is in order and well-deserved as the amount will cover transportation and other expenses, the letter from the Governor stated.
